OneSoil is a precision farming platform that helps you manage your fields more efficiently. It includes the OneSoil Scouting mobile app, the OneSoil web app, and the advanced tools of the PRO version, which can be accessed by subscription. These apps work together to monitor plant growth via the NDVI index, plan farm operations, improve yields, and save your farm's resources.

Farmers around the world use OneSoil apps all year round. No matter how big or small your farm is, our tools make work easier for:

  • Farmers

  • Agronomists

  • Consultants

  • Researchers

  • Ag machinery and service dealers

  • Companies interested in high-quality agricultural data

In this article, we explain the differences between the apps and how to choose the right tool for your tasks.

🤝 If you're interested in becoming a OneSoil Pro dealer in your region, contact us via the support chat. Our dealer list includes ag consultants, machinery manufacturers, and service companies in 15 countries across all continents except Antarctica!

We provide ready-made solutions for businesses through the OneSoil Business Analytics project. We can detect field boundaries in 59 countries and identify crops 8 months ahead of official statistics. Learn more about how our data can benefit your business, and contact us via the website here.

How does the OneSoil platform work?

The OneSoil apps are based on machine-learning technology, multispectral satellite imagery, and our own algorithms and technical developments.

Starting in 2011, we've done over 1,500 VRA experiments on more than 200,000 hectares of fields. This experience allowed us to define our own efficient method of conducting VRA trials and evaluating their effectiveness. This data became the basis of our OneSoil Pro tools. You can read more about these field trials and OneSoil Pro in this article.

We utilize satellite images from Sentinel-2 to update NDVI field images. They provide clear visibility of chlorophyll, the green pigment in plants. The plant NDVI values range from 0 to 1, and the image resolution is 10×10 meters per pixel. Learn more about NDVI and our image processing techniques.

What devices can I use with OneSoil?

  • OneSoil Scouting mobile apps are available for both iOS and Android phones.

  • Access the web app by following the link from your computer.

  • All PRO version tools are only accessible from a computer or laptop. You can get access or start a trial period by clicking any tool with a PRO icon.

We support Google Chrome, Safari, and Firefox browsers.

How much does using OneSoil cost?

We help farmers worldwide switch to precision farming and make it easy. Initially, investing in expensive machinery or dealing with complex software is unnecessary. To check how your fields and plants are doing, open OneSoil on your computer or get the OneSoil Scouting app on your phone.

  1. The main tools of OneSoil for both web and mobile are free. They let you scout fields, monitor vegetation and weather, plan crop rotation, and more.

  2. You need a subscription for the advanced tools of the PRO version, OneSoil Pro. The price depends on the number of hectares you use and what features you need to work with.

🙋🏻‍♀️ To learn about the subscription price for your farm and your needs, contact us via the support chat.

💡 If you haven't used OneSoil Pro yet, activate the free trial access to all tools for 14 days by clicking any tool with a PRO* icon.

Sounds great! How do I get started?

📚 Use the ultimate guide to learn how our apps help farmers and agronomists year-round.

Follow these steps to start using the app:

  1. Sign up for an account.

  2. Find your fields on the map, save them, and add crop rotation details.

  3. Track crop growth using the NDVI. This data changes every 3-5 days, except on cloudy days.

  4. Get to know both the web and mobile apps with our guide. These apps work together for the best results throughout the season.

  5. Add notes about how the fields are doing from your office or while out scouting. The app knows your location, which helps you find and fix crop issues (such as pests, lodging, disease, and other anomalies) before they become a problem.

📱 If you often work in areas without an internet connection, remember that our apps also work offline! Just download the map around your fields under the "Profile" tab on your phone before you go.

👨‍🌾 If you're an agro consultant or manage a big farm, set up a multi-user account for teamwork with your colleagues and staff. That way, you can share access to your fields, notes, and other data.

👨‍🌾 If you consult multiple farms, group your fields by farms or any other parameter.

👨‍🌾 To start using the field analysis feature and VRA tools, including field trials with control strips, activate your subscription to OneSoil Pro or start a free 2-week trial by clicking any button with a PRO icon.
