Mobile Monitoring Subscription

Written by Alex

Starting in May 2026, the OneSoil Scouting mobile app will operate on a freemium model. Basic monitoring features will remain free for everyone, while more advanced tools for daily fieldwork will be available with a subscription.

What’s available for free

Free features are available to all users, with no limit on the number of fields:

  • Virtual Weather Station — add virtual weather stations anywhere and view the weather forecast for a specific location.

  • The latest cloud-free field image — NDVI, moisture, and satellite imagery for each field.

  • Hyperlocal precipitation map for the next hour — an accurate short-term rain forecast.

  • Field notes with photos and geolocation.

  • Access to all fields and seasons — all your data is saved, and nothing is blocked.

What’s available with a subscription

The subscription unlocks tools for users who rely on OneSoil as a daily field monitoring tool:

  • Full-season history — NDVI, moisture, and satellite imagery for each field over time, week by week.

  • 4-hour hyperlocal precipitation forecast — an accurate forecast linked to a specific field, not the nearest weather station.

  • Spraying Windows — recommendations for the best time to spray based on precipitation, wind, humidity, and temperature.

  • Field boundary download — export your field boundaries for use in other systems.

How pricing works

The subscription price depends on two factors: your region and the total area of fields in your account.

Three packages are available:

  • Small — for smaller farms

  • Medium — for medium-sized farms

  • Large — for larger farms

Exact prices are shown in the App Store and Google Play in your local currency, based on your region and the selected package.

The quarterly subscription is cheaper than the monthly one thanks to an additional discount.

How hectares are counted in your account

The subscription is calculated based on unique fields in your workspace.

If the same field appears in several seasons, it is counted once, not separately for each season. For example, a 100-hectare field that appears in the 2024, 2025, and 2026 seasons is counted as 100 hectares — not 300.

If you have different fields in different seasons, their areas are added together.

How to choose the right package size

The package size depends on how many hectares are in your workspace. If your account contains more fields than you want to monitor, keep only the fields that are relevant to your work — the package will be calculated based on their area.

In other words, it’s simple: the fields that remain in the workspace are the fields used to calculate the subscription.

If you work with fields from several clients

If your organization manages fields for different clients in one account, you have flexibility:

  • Split the fields across different workspaces and purchase separate subscriptions for each one.

  • Keep the fields in one workspace and choose the most suitable package.

The structure depends on what works best for your team.

Trial period

A free trial is available when you choose a quarterly subscription — 1 week. You’ll be able to test all subscription features before the first payment is charged. There is no trial period for the monthly subscription.

The trial is activated automatically when you start a quarterly subscription in the App Store or Google Play.

Special cases

OneSoil Pro. If you have a OneSoil Pro subscription, all mobile app features are already included in your plan. No additional action is required.

How to purchase a subscription in the OneSoil Scouting App

Open the OneSoil Scouting App and go to your Profile.

In your profile, tap Subscription.

On the Subscription screen, you’ll see your current plan. If you haven’t activated a paid subscription yet, your plan will be shown as Free.

You’ll also see the total field area in your account. This area is used to determine which subscription package fits your farm:

  • Small — for smaller field areas;

  • Medium — for medium-sized field areas;

  • Large — for larger field areas.

The package names Small, Medium, and Large may appear exactly like this in Google Play or the App Store, so use these names when choosing your plan.

If you’d like to learn more before purchasing, tap About Subscription. There you can check what’s included in the paid version, such as additional tools for field monitoring, satellite imagery, vegetation tracking, and scouting workflows. OneSoil commonly uses terms like satellite monitoring, NDVI, vegetation data, field history, and scouting notes to describe these features.

When you’re ready to continue, tap Purchase Subscription.

You’ll then see the subscription purchase screen. Scroll down to view the available packages. The app will highlight the package that matches your total field area.

For example, if your total field area is larger than the limit included in the Small package, you’ll be able to choose Medium or Large. The app will suggest the package that fits your account, but you can select a larger package if you prefer.

After choosing the package, tap Subscribe.

Completing the purchase via Google Play or the App Store

After you tap Subscribe, the standard purchase window will open:

  • Google Play — if you’re using an Android device;

  • App Store — if you’re using an iPhone.

Before confirming the purchase, check the details carefully:

  • the subscription name;

  • the selected package: Small, Medium, or Large;

  • the price;

  • the billing period;

  • the account used for the purchase;

  • the payment method.

To complete the purchase, confirm it in Google Play or the App Store. Depending on your device settings, you may need to confirm the payment with your password, fingerprint, Face ID, or another verification method.

Once the purchase is confirmed, return to the OneSoil Scouting App. Your subscription should activate automatically.

Managing your subscription after purchase

After purchasing a subscription, you can manage it through your app store account:

  • on Android: open Google Play → Payments & subscriptions;

  • on iPhone: open App Store or Apple ID settings → Subscriptions.

There you can view your active subscription, check the billing details, change the plan, or cancel the subscription.
