To set the background map type in the mobile app, tap the layers icon in the center of your screen. The button will display whichever layer is currently in use.
The available layers are:
No fill — shows only field boundaries with no satellite or index overlay
Satellite — shows the satellite image of the field
Crop — shows the crop type assigned to the field
Vegetation (NDVI) — shows the vegetation index, highlighting plant health and growth across the field
Moisture — shows moisture levels in vegetation and soil, helping assess field conditions after irrigation or rainfall
Productivity Map — shows productivity zones based on historical yield data. This layer is available in the mobile app only if the account has an active OneSoil Pro subscription and has been activated in the web version
If the background map looks outdated, it won't affect NDVI updates. You can learn more about the background maps we use in this article.
